I arrive at the end of 2014 with a heavy heart.
When Jenny suddenly died after a very short illness in March, Alice and I were devastated by this tragic loss. We lost a mother, a best friend, a lover, a partner, a confidante, a guide, an ally, a truly beautiful human being. Our world has been completely turned upside down
I am forever indebted to friends and family who helped me complete the workshop programme for 2014, as well the loyalty of those who came on the workshops in the knowledge that tragedy had touched Creative Vacances.
Jenny was so proud of what we had achieved at Creative Vacances. She pushed us forward and was constantly looking for opportunities to progress. The hard work did not deter her. She loved the music, the tutors, the visitors. She loved sharing our home with them all.
With all this in mind, I have resolved to continue with Creative Vacances. I share all the things that made Creative Vacances so important to Jenny. I want to continue in her memory. I know she would approve.
This video should give a flavor of the pleasure and the pain of 2014.The beautiful song is by Kevin Dempsey who wrote and performed it at La Moreau. It was a particular favourite of Jenny’s.
So check out www.creativevacances.com for the workshop programme for 2015, and I look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones in the coming year.
A peaceful healthy 2015 to one and all XX

These dates coincide with our Fingertsyle Guitar Workshop (30 June – 6 July) with renown guitarist Peppino D’Agostino. Last year we all went in a couple of times to the Festival and enjoyed some great music in the sunshine. There is no doubt that we will go in again on the Wednesday afternoon which is free time.
Not all the acts have been announced but some of the headliners are Ben Harper, Charlie Musselwhite, Beth Hart and Sinead O’Connor.
We have been going to the Cognac Blues Festival for the last 10 years and so it is always a great pleasure when it coincides with a workshop and we can take the students in to enjoy some live music . Yet another good reason to book on our Fingerstyle Workshop with Peppino D’Agostino.

Write it!-sing it!- play it! workshop.
We are delighted that she has agreed to come back again this year. 15-21 May.
Anyone who knows Diane won’t be surprised that she created a great buzz last year. The students arrived with no ideas about a song and left having written, arranged, played and sung their own composition. No mean feat in just a week and all credit to Dianes indominatable energy and enthuisiasm.
This year promises to be just as exciting. So if you have dreamed of writing the lyrics for and composing a song, then this workshop is for you.
Diane will also run a session every morning giving you the confidence and skills to sing your song in tune!
Diane prefers to work with a small group and so numbers are limited to 8 so if you have always dreamed of writing your very own song and are looking for inspiration and encouragement check out our web site.
